Composed of 20 precisely arranged pieces of specialty mirror and glass, the 27″ Tesseract marks the point where dimensional theory becomes a true spatial experience. This infinity mirror sculpture materializes the projection of a four-dimensional cube into three-dimensional space, generating a recursive field of light that appears to extend infinitely beyond its physical form.
At 27 inches, the work shifts from object into environmental presence. The increased scale allows for deeper recursion, sharper symmetry, and a more convincing illusion of infinite dimensional space. The viewer is no longer simply observing — they begin to feel the depth and pull of the structure.
Created by Nicky Alice, the first and only artist to bring the Tesseract into physical form (first realized in 2018), each piece is handcrafted using artist-developed, patent-pending mirror systems and specialty mirror glass designed specifically for this series.
From the exterior, it appears as a perfect cube. Within, it unfolds into a luminous, multidimensional structure where light becomes architecture — suggesting movement through unseen axes of space and perception.
