Composed of 20 precisely arranged pieces of specialty mirror and glass, the 18″ Tesseract enters the realm where dimensional theory becomes a visceral visual experience. This infinity mirror sculpture materializes the projection of a four-dimensional cube into three-dimensional space, creating a recursive field of light that folds inward with increasing depth and intensity. Each reflection compounds into the next, forming a continuous geometric pathway that suggests higher-dimensional structure beyond visible space.

At 18 inches, the internal architecture becomes significantly more pronounced — the recursion deepens, the symmetry sharpens, and the illusion of infinite space begins to feel physically present. The viewer is no longer simply observing a visual effect, but engaging with a dimensional construct that appears to extend beyond the object itself.

Created by Nicky Alice, the first and only artist to bring the Tesseract into physical form (first realized in 2018), each piece is handcrafted using artist-developed, patent-pending mirror systems and specialty mirror glass designed specifically for this series.

From the exterior, the sculpture presents as a perfect cube. Internally, it unfolds into an endless luminous structure — a controlled collapse of light into infinite depth.
